Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) is on a mission to get Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) out of her life once and for all in EastEnders, knowing full well that Mick (Danny Dyer) will always prioritise his ex-wife’s needs over her own.
The soap’s resident schemer, as viewers know, has become increasingly paranoid about the connection between Mick and Linda in recent weeks and thus devises a plan in upcoming scenes.
Determined to get a ring on his finger as soon as possible, Janine encourages Mick to tell Linda all about their wedding news, but Mick is hesitant to hurt Linda any more than they already have, suggesting they wait until after Dot Branning’s (June Brown) funeral.
In typical Janine fashion, she ignores Mick’s request and takes matters into her own hands, spitefully asking Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) to cater the wedding reception, knowing full well that Linda is within earshot.
Mick, meanwhile, later decides to come clean as he tells Linda the truth about the wedding, but Linda reveals that she already knows, and wastes little time in telling him that she’s happy for him.
A selfless human.
Not content with stealing Linda’s husband, Janine resolves to get the landlady out of her and Mick’s life once and for all, as she demands that Mick buy her out of the pub!
Mick, however, remains steadfast in his position, as he reiterates that he simply cannot take Linda’s beloved pub from her.
Will Janine leave this be? Or will she stop at nothing to get Linda out of Mick’s life?
We reckon the latter!
