Chris Croucher, 39 – who met the Duchess of Cambridge when she visited the set – made the sleazy advances on the victim during a booze-up around London’s Soho. During the binge shortly before Christmas 2019, Croucher invited her to “have a foursome” with a female and male friend.

After drinking at several venues, the four ended up in an office where he touched the woman on a sofa and tried to kiss her.

The victim refused his invitation to join him at a hotel, London’s Southwark Crown Court was told.

The woman tried to leave but Croucher told her: “You are not going anywhere”. Croucher offered her cocaine telling her it would “allow the evening to continue”. He pushed her against a wall and said: “Let’s have sex”. But she managed to get away.

Prosecutor Iestyn Morgan, said: “He tried to follow. As his trousers were undone, he was too slow.”

Francesca Levett, defending, said he offered an “unreserved apology”.

Croucher, of Haselemere, Surrey, now has terminal cancer. He was given a 12-month community order.
