Ant and Dec clear up why Charlene isnt in trouble for Im A Celeb rule break

Ant and Dec have cleared up an I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! issue over why Charlene White did not get into trouble over a "rule break".

The Loose Women star has been branded "selfish" by viewers of the ITV reality show as she refused to sleep in the camp's RV as befitting her status as deputy leader.

Every year the camp leader and their deputy get to experience a bit of luxury as they get to sleep under shelter and in a comfy bed as opposed to hammocks.

Responding on Twitter the hosts said: "The rules said that only the leader and deputy are allowed to stay in the RV, it didn’t state they HAD to…"

This garnered much comment from fans, with one writing: "Ah so it was just guidance, not a rule that does sound familiar lol x".

A second said: "Hmmm… I think that’s just an excuse being made on her behalf. Campmates have always suffered when they haven’t done what they’ve been told, makes it way more interesting and fun to watch."

A third quipped: "Let's hope Charlene and Chris get this trial such bottlers, Charlene should step down and allow someone to get the bed, not a team player at all," while a fourth added: "I'm sorry but this whole RV thing is getting beyond a joke. She is stopping someone who should be in her place simple guidelines or law it needs to be addressed or you will lose viewers and credibility."

Fans also raised the subject of Matt Hancock, the politician and former health secretary, with one proposing: "I get the impression she isn’t comfortable sharing a sleeping space with Handcock and for that I can’t blame her to be honest."

A second mentioned Matt's statements before he entered the jungle about raising the issue of dyslexia, saying: "Just out of interest has Matt mentioned dyslexia in any of the footage? Not been on the ITV show that you’ve shown each night."

A third added: "Agree. He said he wanted to take part to highlight the struggle of living with Dyslexia. Never mentioned it once! It's just a PR exercise to regain some respect back from Joe Public. Makes my skin crawl!"
