Conservative groups once worked with Trump in the 2026 primary election

Exclusive – A leading conservative organization is already a large shareholder in Republican primary politics, and he hopes to align with President Donald Trump and his political team in the 2026 election cycle to improve his game.

“Our goal will be bigger and do more,” said David McIntosh, president of growth, in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital.

The Growth Club is a political advocacy organization that drives a fiscally conservative agenda, including a focus on tax cuts and other economic issues.

Its political division is the Growth Action Club Super PAC and has been a major player in the GOP primary.

The club’s growth action said it and its affiliated super PAC raised $163 million in the election cycle in 2024 and touted it to win 73% of the game making political investments. The group said it aims to raise the ante over the 2026 cycle and is committed to strengthening the Republican majority in the House and Senate.

McIntosh said that in terms of increasing investment this year and next year, “a lot of it depends on members. We rely on donors to help us fund these races.”

But, he added: “We have some really good, generous people who support us.”

“One of the key factors will be President Trump and his approval. That actually outweighs everything else. So what we have to do is recommend to him and his political team the candidates we think he thinks he thinks his agenda, the free market, the limited government conservatives, we can support together.”

McIntosh and the club have established a relationship with Trump. They oppose Trump’s ally before running for the White House in 2016. Trump and the club teamed up in some of the high-profile Republican primary elections in the 2022 cycle, but clashed in the flammable Senate nomination battles in Alabama, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

In addition, as the 2024 Republican presidential nomination competition proceeds, the club is also competing with Trump. Trump has repeatedly criticized McIntosh and the club, calling them “the club has not grown” and claimed they were “a combination of politically inappropriate, globalist and loser.”

However, Trump and McIntosh achieved peace about a year ago, when Trump proposed the Republican presidential nomination in March 2024, he said they were “in love” after a long time.

“I think you’ll see the club’s growth PAC works closely with his political team President Trump,” McIntosh told Fox News. “We’ll definitely work closely with his policy team to get the tax bill, and a lot of the legislation we both agree on is crucial to turning things around in the country.”

Club officials said they are planning an eight-digit federal advocacy campaign to support the so-called growth, free market initiative proposed by the Trump administration. The most important project of their campaign will focus on is to promote expansion and permanently sort out the tax cuts Trump passed in the first semester of the White House.

The group also advocates federal schools free legislation that will allow parents to “use federal taxes to send their students to public, private, charter or public, private, charter or homeschool that best suits their learning needs”.

Last year, the club’s growth action worked with Allied groups to defeat 10 current Republican state lawmakers in Texas who opposed so-called school choice legislation. The group also undertook a similar mission in Tennessee, and will continue to conduct the crusades this year in five other states that are considering school choice bills.

The club will hold annual donor retreats for annual donors Thursday at the exclusive beachfront resort in the Upper Crust Waterfront Community in Palm Beach, Florida.
