Trump lays wreath at Tomb of the Unknown Soldier before inauguration

President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Vance attended a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia on Sunday before returning to the White House.
Trump attended a series of Washington events before returning to office.
The president-elect’s wife, Melania Trump, and his children, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump and Ivanka Trump, were also present. Vance’s wife Usha Vance also attended the event.

Some of Trump’s Cabinet picks were also in the crowd, including Pete Hegseth, his pick for defense secretary; Marco Rubio, his pick for secretary of state; Tulsi Garba Tulsi Gabbard, his choice for director of national intelligence; and his choice for United Nations ambassador, Elise Stefanik.

Trump braved the drizzle and placed a wreath on an easel at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of a silent crowd, looking solemn. A moment later Vance did the same thing.
During the ceremony, Trump saluted and Vance put his hand on his chest.

After the ceremony, the two left Arlington National Cemetery.
Trump is scheduled to hold a campaign-style “MAGA Victory” rally at Capitol One on Sunday night.
