Trump issues ‘how’s it going’ message, compares Time’s Person of the Year cover with photo

President-elect Trump posted a message on his Truth Social account on Friday, comparing his 2023 photo to a Time magazine cover.
Trump was named Time’s Person of the Year this week, including a cover and in-depth interview as he prepares for his second inauguration.
“How it started and how it went,” Trump wrote, with a photo of him on the left and his Time magazine cover on the right.

Trump was photographed in May 2023 while he was being processed at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta after being indicted on election racketeering charges.
The magazine announced Thursday that Trump was named Person of the Year.

Trump called it an “honor” at a ceremony following the announcement.
“Thank you so much for everything you do,” he said. “Thank you to the entire team at Time. Real professionals.

He was named the magazine’s Person of the Year for the first time since he was first elected president in 2016.
