Trump imposes sanctions on ICC, accusing it of targeting us and Israel

During his visit, Mr. Trump revealed a stunning announcement to Netanyahu not long ago that the United States would seek to take over Gaza, permanently replace its 2 million Palestinian residents, and redevelop the territory into “Rivey in the Middle East” Ella. “The proposal has drawn global condemnation, and experts say such measures will constitute ethnic cleansing and may violate international law.
The president’s executive order against the International Criminal Court comes after Democrats recently blocked a bill in the Senate that would impose sanctions on signed officials on lawsuits with Israeli officials. Many Democrats believe that the legislation is too broad to apply not only to various people in the court, but also to American companies that work with it.
In a statement, a spokesman for Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer expressed support for the order, saying Mr. Schumer believes the court needs “reform” and “biased against Israel.” The president’s instructions missed “problematic irrelevant provisions” that were not related to Israel, and Democrats rejected the bill.
In the second half of last year, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Israeli officials, and Israel repeatedly blocked the flow of wartime humanitarian aid to Gaza. The court claimed that Mr. Netanyahu and Mr. Garant “deliberately and intentionally deprived Gaza of civilian population because their survival is essential, including food, water, medical and medical supplies, as well as fuel and electricity. ”
As part of the same operation, the court issued an arrest warrant to Muhammad Deif, senior military commander of Hamas, accusing him of crimes against humanity, including murder, hostages and sexual violence. Mr Deif’s death in an Israeli air strike was recently confirmed.
The court also tried to issue an arrest warrant to Hamas’ top leaders in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar and his political leader Ismail Haniyeh, but has confirmed that they were killed when they issued other arrest warrants.
