Trump and Democratic Maine Governor Janet Mills clash with executive orders at the White House
President Donald Trump has been a fraud in sports with Maine Gov. Janet Mills, who told her at the White House that she must follow his executive orders, or “ You won’t get federal funds,” she replied, “We’ll see you in court. ”
Blue State is one of several Trump’s February 5 violations of executive orders to prevent trans athletes from participating in girls and women’s sports. Trump threatened to cut off federal funds in Maine on Thursday, and then clashed with Mills at a bipartisan gubernatorial meeting ahead of his clash with Mills this afternoon.
“You’d better do this because you won’t get federal funds,” Trump told her.
She replied: “We will comply with Mr. Law. We will meet in court.”

Trump then said: “Enjoy life after the governor because I don’t think you’re elected official later.”
“Maine will not be intimidated by the president’s threat,” Mills said in a statement Friday.
She added: “If the President tries to unilaterally deprive Maine school children of federal funding interests, my administration and the Attorney General will take all appropriate and necessary legal actions to restore the funding and the academic opportunities it provides.”
“I heard men are still playing in Maine,” Trump said at a Republican gubernatorial gathering in Washington on Thursday.
“I don’t want to tell you, but we won’t give them any federal funds, they still say ‘we want men to play football in women’ and I can’t believe they are doing it… so we’re until they clean up , no federal funds will be given to them, no funds,” he also said.

Trump’s executive order was signed on February 5, directing all federal agencies to review failures to comply with the administration’s efforts to end “the men’s competition for women’s campaign… as security, fairness, dignity, and truth.”
The order also directs strict enforcement of any non-compliant educational institution or athletic associations requiring the removal of federal aid in such circumstances.
Shortly after the signing of the order, several states, including Maine, California, Minnesota and others, which are mainly run by Democrats, said they will not comply with Trump.

The executive director of the Maine High School Athletic Elementary Agency said that while the president’s executive order seeks to “disengage men from women’s sports,” sports teams will continue to determine eligibility based on students’ gender identity.
