John Fetterman becomes first Democratic lawmaker to accept Trump’s invitation to Mar-a-Lago since 2024 election

Pennsylvania Senator. John Fetterman Will be the first Democrat to join a host of politicians and billionaire businessmen traveling long distances to meet with the president-elect Donald Trump at his home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.
Fetterman said in a statement Thursday that Trump invited him to meet and he accepted.
“I am a senator for all Pennsylvanians, not just Pennsylvania Democrats,” he said in a statement, first reported by CBS News. “I’ve made it clear that no one is my gatekeeper. I will meet and have conversations with anyone who can help me contribute to Pennsylvania and the country.”
The meeting is expected to take place this weekend.
