Liam Payne’s GF Kate Cassidy “still struggling to accept” his death

Liam PayneGirlfriend Kate Cassidy Her first television interview has been open to her grief since his death.
Cassidy, 25, appears on the UK morning show LorraineWednesday, March 5, said: “I find myself talking about him in the present moment. I don’t even feel the need to correct myself.”
“It’s part of my recovery journey. I’m still trying to accept the fact that he’s not here. It’s hard for me to mention him in the past. It almost stings a little because it’s more official. It’s hard to accept,” the model and influencer added.
Payne died in October 2024 after falling from a balcony on the third floor from the Cassur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is 31 years old. Cassidy was in Argentina with Payne but returned to her hometown we were a few days before his death.

Since the death of the One-way star, Cassidy says she has experienced multiple emotions.
“I’m doing my best,” she said. “I have better days, I have tough days, but I’m surrounded by such a great support system, I can’t thank you. There’s Nara [her and Payne’s dog] My recovery journey has helped me a lot. I just can’t thank everyone, all my friends, my family for being supported and helping me be productive. ”
“I really want to be stuck in my bedroom all day and do my best. Do small things like yoga, walk for a long time…I’m trying to do that,” she added.
An emotional Cassidy also shared with the host Lorraine Kelly Payne’s death was the first major loss she suffered.
“It’s really hard. I never lost anyone before I was close to me, so this is my first time going through this sad and healing journey,” she said. “He has influenced so many people in this world, and I know I’m not alone, so many others are grieving. It shows the impact he has in his life.”
Cassidy remembers the singer, who continued, “He would light up any room he walked into, he had this sense of humor that could make anything better. His presence was just comfort and warmth, and it was something I would never forget about him.”
Cassidy appears Lorraine To help the program and build a new mental health program for ITV, March 4 noted that Payne is “so open to his mental health.”
“No one should be afraid to speak out. …I know he hopes I can help anyone because he can no longer help people,” Cassidy added.
Last month, Argentine prosecutor dropped murder charges against Payne’s friend Roger Norresand two Casasur employees involved in the singer’s death.
Two men are accused of selling Payne’s drugs, Ezequiel Pereyra and Braian Nahuel Paizplease stay in prison while awaiting the trial of manslaughter. Paiz previously denied selling Payne drugs. It is not clear whether Pereyra has defended his allegations.
