Tommy Lee slams musicians for promoting their own work amid LA fires
Tommy Lee had something to say to his fellow musicians.
The Mötley Crüe drummer shared a letter via Instagram on Tuesday, January 14, targeting artists promoting their work on social media amid the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles. Thousands of people have lost their homes and been displaced by fires in the Los Angeles area since January 7.
“It really makes me sick to see most people only care about lame social media posts!” Lee, 62, shared. “Guys, no one cares now when your record drops or your next concert is when so many people are involved in one of the biggest disasters ever!”
“I know there’s always some comic relief [needed] But gosh, leave it all alone and if you can, maybe stop and see who needs help,” he added, although he did not name any specific artists.

Lee wasn’t the only celebrity to be called out for a celebrity’s social media activity last week.
Tuesday, Kelly Osbourne She believes celebrities are using wildfires to gain personal attention.
While Osbourne, 40, didn’t mention anyone by name, she slammed the “disturbing” trend of celebrities continuing to post about how they’re helping victims of the wildfires, which have killed 25 people so far.
“Is this just my normal overthinking, cynical self, or is it really heartwarming to see all these celebrities using other people’s pain and suffering as photo opportunities to say, look, ‘I’m helping, I’m doing this. Uneasy? Am I doing this?

“I don’t believe you’re helping because you’re getting noticed for helping, I believe you’re just helping because you want to help. I’m confused and I think it’s very wrong,” she continued. “No one asked you to come out for a hug. Go home.”
Osbourne’s comments come as celebrities around the world donate time and money to wildfire relief efforts. Many people do this publicly, sharing photos and videos of themselves volunteering.
Many celebrities, including beyonce, Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis and Eva Longoria Donate to organizations that support wildfire relief. According to CNN, as of Wednesday, January 15, fires in the Palisades and Eaton areas of Los Angeles have damaged or destroyed more than 12,300 structures. These include the homes of many celebrities, including Hilton, Mel Gibson, Anna Faris and billy crystal.
