Aaron Rodgers’ uniformed period in the New York Jets will soon end. Fox Sports reported earlier this week that it was a “unlikely” for the NFL MVP quarterback to “go forward”.
Rodgers’ future report surfaced shortly after the Jets took Aaron Glenn as the team’s next head coach and Darren Mougey as general manager. The divorce between Rodgers and Jets may indicate that Gang Green is looking to enter the offseason with clean slate.

If Rodgers’ New York tenure does officially reach the finish line at the start of the NFL’s new league year in March, he will leave the Jets with an 18-season start in two seasons. Rodgers suffered a season-end injury in the first week of the 2023 campaign.

Rodgers scored 28 touchdowns in 11 interceptions in 17 games in 2024. While Rodgers is closer to his career than the end of his career, he did have a lot of performances last season.

However, Rogers is unlikely to regain his MVP caliber form. But with several NFL teams desperately needing a competent quarterback game next season, Rodgers may be interested if he ends up in free agency.
The Jets separated the road from head coach Robert Saleh in October and ended the game with a 5-12 record.
