Tiger Woods has been operating on the golf course for the first time since the UK opened in July.
Woods, 49, played 18 holes on Friday at Torrey Pines’ Genesis Invitational.
This will be the first time Woods has been in the competition since he had a microscopic scan in September to relieve leg pain. This is his sixth operation on his lower back.

It was also Woods’ first time to lose his mother, Kultida Woods, who died at the age of 80.
Typically, the Genesis Invitational was held at Riviera Country Club, but the game was moved to Tory Pines due to wildfires that destroyed the Los Angeles community.
Woods has had a great success in Torrey Pines’ outstanding career, with eight wins against public places next to the Pacific.

Torrey Pines was Woods’ last top 10 in the PGA Tour’s top 10 when he finished ninth in the 2020 Farmers Insurance Open.
The Genesis Invitational has not cut, which means Woods will walk for all four days regardless of performance.
Woods last played four rounds in the Masters last year, when he broke the tournament record as he broke most layoffs for the 24th straight time in the prestigious Grand Slam.

Woods missed three other major games he competed in.
The 15-time Grand Slam champion has been in the Indoor TGL League debuting on January 7, 2025.
The Genesis Invitational Tournament begins on February 13 and lasts until February 16.
