Three states sue Trump administration for gender-changing procedures for protecting children
Attorneys general of three states filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration on Friday for attempts to ban children from accessing gender-changing procedures.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order in late January titled “Protecting children from chemical and surgical dismemberment.” Its goal is to limit the “chemical and surgical” sexual change procedures in minors.
“Across the country today, medical professionals are disabling and disinfecting more and more impressed children, that is, adults can change the gender of children through a range of irreversible medical interventions,” the executive order said. This dangerous trend will be a stain on our national history and must end.”
Since then, local democratic officials across the country have refused, believing that Trump is trying to deprive the basic rights of vulnerable American citizens. Washington state attorney Nick Brown, Minnesota’s Keith Ellison and Oregon’s Dan Rayfield filed lawsuits in an attempt to argue that Trump’s order is more than just “Cruel” and unconstitutional.

“The order is a cruel and unfounded broadside for trans young people, their families, and the doctors and medical institutions that provide them with this intensive care. The lawsuit also argued that the executive order “uneigns the constitutional separation power by usurping Congress’ legislative power”, requiring it to claim that it violated the Tenth Amendment because he said “the president cannot unilaterally, without any Congress’ authorization, pass Interfere with the privileges of states to commit crimes. Attorney General Nick Brown called Trump’s executive order “disgusting” and “hateful” at a press conference on Friday.

However, this act resonates with a particular resonance due to the hatred behind it. “It promotes harassment and discrimination against people who have been marginalized.
