Trump signs executive orders to make our English language ours

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Saturday to make English the official language of the United States
The order revoked an executive order issued by former President Bill Clinton in 2000, “Improving Access Services for People with Limited English Proficiency,” which requires federal agencies and recipients of federal funds to provide language assistance to non-English speakers.
However, Trump’s order states that it does not “require or guide” any changes to the services provided by any agency.
This will be decided by the agent’s head of the agency whether any changes should be made.

Trump makes our English language with new executive order
Although English is used as the national language of the country – visible in every historic administrative document, the United States has never had an official language.
“A nationally designated language is the core of a unified and cohesive society, and American citizens can freely uplift their minds through a common language,” Trump wrote in the order.
The United States is one of several countries that do not have an official language. Among the 195 countries around the world, about 180 make the difference.

Trump has been criticizing former President Joe Biden’s immigration policies, especially in 2024, when Trump spoke out about English as the nation’s language.
Speaking at the 2024 Conservative Political Action Conference, Trump said: “We don’t have a teacher in the whole country to speak this language. We don’t have a language. These languages are the craziest thing – they haven’t heard of languages in this country. It’s a very scary thing. It’s a very scary thing.”
