TGL is a new team golf league. The first nine holes are alternating, while the last six holes are singles.
Each team put three players in the game, starting each hole by placing the Tee keys on the real grass Tee box onto a 64-foot x 53-foot screen, 24 times larger than the standard golf simulator.
For shots that include 130 yards or more for most tees, the golfer will hit the back box 35 yards away from the screen. The rear box holds real fairway grass and rough lenses as well as sand. For a 50-to-129 yard shot, the golfer will hit the front box 21 yards away from the screen.
The landing position of their tee will determine the next challenge: approach shots played from natural grass flags, deep hairs or white sand. For shots of 50 yards or less, the player will turn to adjust the green to complete the hole.

For the standings, TGL uses a one-point system that awards two points and one-point two points for each game to lose overtime. In the regular season, each team plays against each other in a circular rotating format. The top four teams ranked No. 1 at the end of the season and then made it to the semifinals.
