Tesla extends lifetime free supercharging offer for base-series Cybertruck until end of January – Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA)

Electric car giant Tesla Inc. Tesla The lifetime free supercharging offer on stock base range Cybertrucks has been extended until January 31st.
What happened: Benzinga first noticed base-series Cybertrucks in Tesla’s inventory in mid-December. Tesla has since added a few offers, including free Supercharge for vehicles ordered on or after December 27.
However, after a few weeks, there are still base series Cybertrucks left in stock, and the company will continue to offer free supercharging during initial ownership.
The company now says on its website that it has extended the “limited” offer to orders placed on or after December 27 and delivered before January 31.
Why it’s important: Base Series refers to the limited-edition and pricier versions of the Cybertruck, with laser-etched Base Series badges and premium accessories, starting at $99,990 for the base version. Tesla has only produced the base series Cybertruck in the first few months of deliveries.
However, in October, Tesla began selling a regular version of the Cybertruck, priced about $20,000 less than the base series. Demonstration vehicles continue to be sold in its inventory as well as the new base series trucks.
According to data from automotive research firm Kelley Blue Book, the Cybertruck is Tesla’s third-best-selling vehicle in the United States in 2024, behind the mass-market Model 3 and Model Y.
The company sold 38,965 vehicles in the 12 months to the end of December, significantly more than Tesla’s Model S or Model X sales in the country.
