Mellencamp, 43, publicly revealed her health battle earlier this month and shared via her Instagram that she was undergoing brain surgery after doctors discovered the tumor.
“I have been dealing with severe debilitating headaches for the past few weeks. The pain was unbearable yesterday and required hospitalization,” Mellencamp wrote on February 12.
She explained that after a CT scan and an MRI, “doctors found multiple tumors in my brain, which they thought had grown for at least 6 months.”

“The remaining smaller tumors will be treated later by radiation,” Mellencamp wrote.

Arroyave, 47, has been releasing several updates about Mellencamp’s health, including revealing that she was “thank you” after undergoing brain tumor surgery.
“Our family thanks you for your continued prayer and good wishes,” Arroyave wrote via Instagram on Monday, February 17. “Teddi is deeply grateful for the love that continues to recover.
