“Terror attack” in Moscow, the Russian Consulate in Marseille

Russia said the bombing was attacked in Marseille, “all signs of terrorist attacks.”

Dozens of firefighters were called to the scene in a southern French city on Monday morning. A security source told Reuters that plastic bottles were thrown on the consulate’s wall and one of them exploded.

The French Ministry of Interior said there were no casualties in the explosion and no injuries were caused by all staff and Russian consuls. Russia’s Consul General Stanislav Oranskiy said there was an explosion inside the building and Moscow demanded a comprehensive French investigation.

“The explosion of the general in the Marseille Russian Consulate in Marseille has all the marks,” Tas quoted Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova. “We requested (France) detailed measures to investigate, and Steps to strengthen the security of Russian foreign missions.”

The incident in southern France took place on the third anniversary of the Russian-Ukrainian War.
