Taylormade 2025 P790 Iron | 4 Things to Know

Since its first-generation P790 debut in 2017, the club has been the main force of Taylormade’s Iron lineup and one of the best-selling distance irons in the market.

Now, the fifth generation P790 is here, Taylormade has launched brand new facial materials, FLTD CG technology, shapes and more.

1. New facial materials

Taylormade engineers use the new 4340m forged fabric (the facial material that Taylormade increases by 20% strong) to make the new P790 thinner and make the ball faster.

Taylormade said desserts increased by 24% compared to the previous generation P790 to make golfers more consistent.

2. FLTDCG

They say great players can hit long irons, while short iron ore is low. The new FLTD CG technology in the P790 iron can help golfers do this.

Using FLTD CG, the longest iron uses 40 grams of tungsten to lower the CG in the head for better emission. As the scene moves in the medium term, the tungsten moves toward the toe to help increase MOI for increased stability.

Short iron does not have any tungsten, which will make the head higher CG move to promote lower ball flight and more control.

3. New players’ shape

The top of the new P790 is thinner than its predecessor, and can be cleaned at the address and attract better players. Similar changes were made on the updated P770 released last summer.
