Taylor Swift reportedly gave gift to Brittany Mahomes’ newborn daughter just days before Trump’s inauguration

Taylor Swift reportedly gave Brittany Mahomes a handmade baby blanket to celebrate the birth of Mahomes’ newborn daughter, Golden Ree, according to Page Six .
“Taylor’s aunt knitted her a baby blanket when she was a child, so it always had special meaning to her and was something she wanted to do for her friends,” a source told media. “It’s become a tradition for Taylor, it’s something she loves to do and it’s something you can’t buy. It comes from the heart.”
Brittany and her husband, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, welcomed their newborn on January 12. Their first child since dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The attacks came in response to the pregnant mother simply liking an Instagram post on Donald Trump’s account. Screenshots of Brittany liking a post outlining Trump’s 2024 policy platform are circulating on social media, often through Swift’s fan accounts. Fans, many of whom share Swift’s political beliefs as a Democrat, then flooded Brittany’s page with insults and attacks.
Brittany even had to address the controversy multiple times to defend herself in social media posts and podcast interviews.
“Honestly, I mean, as an adult, to be a hater, you have to have some deep-seated roots that have refused to heal since childhood,” Brittany wrote in an Aug. 23 post. question. In another post on August 26, she wrote, “Contrary to the tone of today’s world… you can disagree with someone and still love them. You can have a different perspective and still be kind. During an Aug. 28 episode of the “Whoop” podcast, she said she relied on her three-time Super Bowl champion husband to help her get through the recent public scrutiny.

The apparent political differences between the two became even more apparent on Sept. 5 when Swift and Mahomes were seen sitting in separate suites during the Chiefs’ home opener against the Ravens.
On September 10, Swift announced her support for Kamala Harris. In an interview with Fox News the next day, Trump responded that he preferred Brittany to Swift and had acknowledged the then-pregnant mother’s support on social media.

But Trump further exacerbated the political divide between Mahomes and Swift with a post that read “I hate Taylor Swift!” on his Truth social account.
Yet even after Trump’s aggressive messaging, Swift didn’t remain different from Mahomes. They were later seen in the same suite during the Chiefs’ game against the Saints on Oct. 7, with Brittany showing off a photo of Swift caressing her pregnant belly. Patrick also said in an October interview with The Drive podcast that he and Brittany often let their three-year-old daughter Sterling Skye bake with Swift.
Randy Mahomes, Patrick’s mother, also endorsed Trump in the days leading up to the election.
Data shows Swift’s support for Harris didn’t sway voters in a meaningful way in recent elections.
According to AP Poll, 44% of women ages 18 to 44 voted for Trump, while 48% of women 45 and older backed the former president-elect.
