David Muir doesn’t have custom firefighting jacket in Thursday report

Muir, 51, headlines the Thursday, January 9 broadcast world news tonight from Los Angeles, where he covered the wildfires that were devastating the city. He wore a flame-retardant yellow jacket over a black T-shirt, which was unzipped and appeared to have omitted the now-viral clothespins he used to tighten the fabric.
In the episode that aired on Wednesday, January 8, Muir clipped clothespins to the back of her safety jacket, seemingly making the fabric fit better.
“Praying for Los Angeles. We’ll be back today,” he wrote on Instagram hours before Thursday’s show aired.
While Muir didn’t mention the use of clothespins, fans went crazy trying to decide if he should have omitted it on camera.

A series of wind-driven wildfires broke out in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 7, quickly causing massive damage. Many residents left city limits under mandatory or voluntary evacuation orders.
Many celebrities have also been affected by the wildfires, including Mandy Moore, Paris Hilton, Spencer Pratt and Milo Ventimiglia, They all lost their homes in the fire.
