Suspicious killer of California mother and son captured in Mexico

A few days before Christmas, family members found Alicia Montejano’s body and her 19-year-old son Reuel Huerta in their Stockton apartment. The two were beaten to death, and authorities announced that Montejana’s boyfriend, Julio Caesar Valdez, 38, was their suspect.
After weeks of hunting, Valdez was arrested Tuesday in Rosarito, Mexico and will be extradited to San Joaquin County for the killings, Stockton police said in a press release.
Sacramento News KXTV reports Huerta and his mother, 43-year-old Montejano, found Marissa Vigil, in their apartment on December 23, Sacramento News Sacramento News News KXTV reported.
“I can’t believe it,” Virgil told the news station. “It feels like I was dying at the time. I can’t breathe, and I still can’t take the photos out of my mind.”
“Neither of them deserve it,” Raul Huerta said. “We need justice. He has the greatest heart. He won’t hurt anyone.”
The family described Huerta as a smart and quiet teenager, Montejano, who could make others smile.
Authorities said Huerta had a physical tear, which appeared to be the cause of death, but there were no gunshot wounds or other obvious signs of injury. No other details are released.
