The 73-year-old singer shared a statement on Instagram on Tuesday, January 21, “On the advice of his doctors, we deeply regret that Sting must cancel his appearance at the Bass Magazine Awards this Thursday due to his medical condition.” .
Sting will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Bass Magazine Awards on Thursday, January 23, in Santa Ana, California. Thorn 3.0 tour, and has had two dates postponed to the summer.
The statement revealed that the star’s Phoenix show, originally scheduled for Friday, January 24, has been moved to Sunday, June 1, while the Wheatland, California, tour stop originally scheduled for Sunday, January 26 has been moved to Wednesday, May 28. Sting was also scheduled to perform at Cherrytree Music’s 20th anniversary event on Saturday, January 25th.
“Fans should hold on to their tickets for the postponed show as they will be honored at the new date,” the Instagram statement concluded. “Sting sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks fans for their understanding.”
Details about the singer’s condition have not yet been revealed.
Sting will return to the stage at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis Billy Joel Early next month, then heading to South America as part of the STING 3.0 tour.
