Starmer gives Ukraine update after urging world leaders to keep pressure on Russia

A meeting with world leaders was held on Saturday, March 15 to watch Sir Keir Starmer hold a press conference to discuss peace in Ukraine.

The Prime Minister urged countries to maintain pressure on Moscow after warning Vladimir Putin not to “play the game” through a ceasefire agreement.

About 25 world leaders joined Sir Keir on Saturday for a virtual call, including Emmanuel Macron, Volodymyr Zelensky and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss plans to hold peacekeeping forces in Ukraine during a ceasefire.

Sir Kyle accused Putin of “completely ignoring” the 30-day ceasefire proposal proposed by Ukraine and the United States earlier this week.

Despite Donald Trump’s “good and productive” talks with Russia on Friday, Putin is accused of using a delay strategy by raising “nuances” and further questions, and suggesting that Ukrainians will not be allowed to mobilize or receive Western military aid during the truce.
