Fans may have seen it firsthand Simone Biles’s The last dance.

But with the Olympics set to return to the United States in 2028, fans hoping to see her compete in one last Olympics may be disappointed to find that Biles is not set to make an appearance.

talking sports illustrated After being named the 2024 Athlete of the Year, Biles said she believed returning to the Olympics after seeing so much success would make her “greedy.”
“If you go back, you will be greedy. That’s the consequence. But it’s also your decision,” she said in the interview. “If I went back now, what sacrifices would I make? When you were young, it was like prom, college. Now it’s like starting a family, being away from my husband. What’s really worth it?”

Biles is married chicago bears Safety Jonathan Owens. The couple married in April 2023 and have since been photographed supporting each other at their respective events.
Owens signed a two-year deal with the Bears in March 2024 after one season with the Green Bay Packers. He was exempted from the start of training camp this summer to support his wife in her bid to make history at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

As Biles enters the next chapter of her life, she told Sports Illustrated that a return to the Olympics in 2028 is unlikely.
“I’ve achieved so much, there’s little to do but snobbishly try again, for what? I’m at a point in my career where I’m humble enough to know when it’s time to finish.”
