Sen. Rand Paul promises to get Trump’s Cabinet picks approved

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said Sunday he was “very happy” with President-elect Trump’s Cabinet nominees and said he would work to push them through as quickly as possible.
When Paul was asked on “Sunday Morning Futures” whether he would support all of Trump’s picks for his inner circle, the senator responded: “I couldn’t have made a better choice.
“I will support the overwhelming majority on day one,” the senator said. “We’re going to try to get Kristi Noem through DHS, Russ Voight [Office of Management and Budget]. … I think in the first week you’ll have six of these projects approved in the first week.
Paul said he would take control of a committee tasked with confirming nominees, adding, “I promise to get them through as quickly as possible.”
