If you have kids and are tired of inside out 2 After watching it for the hundredth time, you might want to check out one of the more exciting adventures from the early days of Walt Disney Animated Feature Films: Atlantis: The Lost Empire. While I don’t necessarily cast a shadow on Disney’s newer intellectual properties, I’m definitely suffering from fatigue from overexposure to new releases, and I’ve watched Aladdin As a child, I myself considered incorporating it into my family’s Disney animation rotation many times for the sake of my own mental health.

Because I was too cool to go to school at that time Atlantis: The Lost Empire is trending and I just recently saw it for the first time. While some of the character development in this sci-fi action-adventure epic seems a little rushed, the animation and voice acting are extremely well done. If you’re a StarCraft player who needs further convincing, you’ll be happy to know that Leonard Nimoy’s talents are highlighted in his portrayal of the King of Atlantis.

an impossible adventure

Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Atlantis: The Lost Empire First focusing on 6800 BC, showing us how the lost city of Atlantis was lost in the first place. In case you were wondering, it was a massive tsunami that pushed the city underwater, introducing us to the King of Atlantis, Kashkim Nidach (Leonard Nimoy) and After his young daughter Kidakash “Kida” Nedach (voiced by Natalie Strome in this sequence) is mysteriously left behind by the Queen of Atlantis.

Back in 1914, we’re introduced to a bumbling linguist named Milo Thatch (Michael J. Fox), who is obsessed with the lost city of Atlantis but can’t figure it out. The Smithsonian Institution received appropriate funding to study the lost city of Atlantis.

What Milo doesn’t know is that his late grandfather Thaddeus fell in love with an eccentric millionaire named Preston B. Whitmore (John Mahoney), who Decided to fund an elaborate expedition to Atlantis out of his own pocket. Gift Milo his rare copy Shepherd’s Diary, Whitmore would introduce the map describing the road to Atlantis to the expedition and send him on his way, and Atlantis: The Lost Empire He spends the remainder of the film leaving the streets and jumping into the ocean.

Excited by the opportunity to test his knowledge of a dead language and seafaring, Milo finally has the financial backing to fulfill his grandfather’s wildest fantasies: to find Atlantis and see the lost empire with his own eyes.

Joining Milo is a ragtag group of misfits led by Commander Lyle Tiberius Locke (James Garner), including his deputy, Lieutenant Helga Katrina Sinclair (Claw Dia Christian), demolition expert Vinny (Don Novello), Joshua Strongbell Sweet (Phil Morris), eccentric chef Jebediah Allardyce “Cookie” Farnsworth (Jim Farney), radio operator Williamina Bertha Packard (Florence Stanley), and a French geologist who behaves like a mole Gaetan “The Mole” Molière (Jim Varney, Corey Burton).

After an unexpected mechanical Leviathan attack kills most of the crew’s supporting soldiers and sailors in an epic series of explosions, Milo and his companions finally find the lost city of Atlantis , introduces himself to Kashkim Neidah and the adult Kida (Kerry Summer). While Kida agrees to let Milo restore the history of Atlantis through his unique expertise, Kashkim is wary of the crew and believes they are up to no good, so he fights back.

Fortunately, much to Milo’s shock and disgust, Commander Locke only wanted to find the ancient crystals located in Atlantis, and he visited the lost city only to loot it for his own personal gain. After figuring out his sinister plot, Milo, Kida, and the rest of the crew work together to reclaim the lost city of Atlantis before the ancient civilization is stripped of its life force.

Underwater adventure for the whole family

Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Although I really enjoyed the visuals and snappy dialogue Atlantis: The Lost EmpireOne thing that really bothers me is how quickly Milo went from a nervous wreck running down the hallways of the Smithsonian without tripping over his own feet to someone with god-like reaction times and agility of the underwater hero. But since we’re talking about a children’s movie with amazing pacing and action sequences, I’m willing to suspend some disbelief while watching a movie about a secret ancient underwater society controlled by glowing blue crystals.

at the end of the day Atlantis: The Lost Empire is a visually stunning, witty, and action-packed family movie streaming on Disney+ that will inspire your spirit of discovery.
