Samsung launches new artificial intelligence phone, aiming to beat Apple and Chinese rivals
Story: Samsung launches new artificial intelligence smartphone to fend off Apple and Chinese rivals
New Galaxy S25 models were launched at an event in California on Wednesday.
They are powered by chips from US company Qualcomm.
TM Roh, the company’s head of mobile experience, claims they have set a new standard in mobile innovation.
The success of new equipment depends largely on the success of new equipment.
Samsung’s preliminary fourth-quarter profit, released earlier this month, was significantly lower than analysts’ expectations.
Experts say the company is also facing weak sales of its flagship foldable phone – once hailed as the industry’s next big thing.
The new phone uses Google’s Gemini AI system and claims to provide more personalized services.
Google Deepmind CEO Demis Hassabis appeared in the event video:
“We believe the next frontier of artificial intelligence will be agent systems that complete tasks and do useful things for you. Now we are very excited to partner with Samsung to bring some of its groundbreaking capabilities to the Gemini app.
The question is whether AI services will actually prompt consumers to buy new phones.
Some industry observers believe that truly compelling new products are yet to emerge.
But Bob O’Donnell, president of Technaanalysis, said Samsung has taken a step in the right direction:
“So I think today’s event is great because what I saw today, honestly, is the first real working example of an artificial intelligence product that I think ordinary people are going to want to use. About artificial intelligence and its theory There’s been a lot of hype about some of the things it can do, but I feel like today we’re starting to get some hints of things that regular people will want to use, and that will really have an impact.
Features Samsung is touting include its “Now Brief” service, which provides personalized recommendations and displays customized items from calendars and news to bedroom temperature.
The South Korean giant has kept the phone’s starting price unchanged at $799.
