First on Fox: A group of Republican lawmakers are acknowledging President Donald Trump that the West Bank is Israeli territory after the president suggested he was studying the change.
A new letter led by Rep. Claudia Tenney, occupied by Palestinians and Israelis, is the “shared Judaism-Christian legacy of the United States and Israeli ”.
“This region is at the heart of our shared Jewish Christian tradition and an endorsement of Israel’s right to declare sovereignty over the region, which will be based on your previous endorsement of the importance of this heritage,” the letter reads.
“We look forward to a potential policy announcement on Judea and Samaritan in the coming weeks and we hope to express our strong support for Israel’s sovereign rights to this region of historical and biblical significance. We also hope to express our strong support for the Israeli declaration of sovereign rights in areas of great significance to this historical and biblical region. Oppose our opposition to this historic opposition. Recognize that supporting terrorism does not recognize any hostile Arab states in Israel.”

The letter also expressed appreciation for Trump’s sanctions on Israeli settlers in the West Bank under the Biden administration.
The purpose of the order is to punish Israeli settlers accused of violence against Palestinians in the West Bank following the October 7 attack on Hamas.
Friends of the Jews and five other members of the Samaritan Caucus signed the letter: R-ill. Rep. Mary Miller, Randy Webber, R-Texas, Andy Harris, R-Md. , R -Md. , Barry Moore, R-Ala. and Nick Lalota
Trump laughed at the new announcement on West Bank policy earlier this month.

“We are discussing this with many of your representatives,” he said. “People do like the idea, but we have no position on it yet. However, we will announce the very specific topic in the next four weeks. News.”
Trump is expected to have a more relaxed view of Israel’s expansion to the West Bank than the Biden administration. In his first administration, he reversed his long-term U.S. policy, believing that Israeli settlements in the West Bank violated the law.

Israel has moved tanks into the West Bank for the first time in two decades, turning its attention to militants, hiding its focus there after the signing of a ceasefire in Gaza.
Palestinians see the effort as Israel establishes efforts to retake the area currently operated by the Palestinian authorities.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Israeli forces will remain in the West Bank “as long as needed.”

Israeli Defense Minister Katz said the troops will be in urban areas of the West Bank at least “in the coming year” and the 40,000 Palestinians who flee will not be able to return home.
“We will not allow residents to return, we will not allow terrorism to return and grow,” he said.
