Rep. Jasmine Crockett says Trump’s ban on trans athletes “does not protect women”
Most Democrats choose to remain silent in response to President Donald Trump’s executive orders prohibiting trans athletes from participating in women’s and women’s sports.
But a Democrat opposes the objection and has received severe criticism.
D-Texas’ Rep. Jasmine Crockett objected to Trump’s executive order in a post on X on Wednesday.

Crockett’s criticism of Trump has aroused strong opposition from other X users.

Another user noted that data showed that most Americans, including Democrats, opposed trans people’s inclusion in women’s sports, which included them in the 2024 election results.
“This definitely protects women, and that’s what most people in the country vote for,” the user wrote.
