Quantum stocks including Rigetti fall after comments, react irrationally (RGTI)

After more than 43 years working at one investment research firm or another, I have finally retired. So now I’m completely independent. For the first time in Seeking Alpha, I wasn’t working based on someone else’s product agenda. I now have one goal…to provide you with the best, actionable investment insights I can. But I am different from other people with the same background. I don’t provide a phone number. Instead, these numbers serve me… to inspire investment stories generated by HI (human intelligence). I definitely understand quantitative investing, both the factors and the non-factors (artificial intelligence was formerly known as artificial intelligence). But I disagree with what other quants are doing. Instead of indulging in statistical studies that are of no benefit to any time period other than the one being studied, I would combine factor studies with the basic theories of finance, including classic fundamental analysis, to understand companies and their The true story of stocks. Investing is about the future. So numbers (which necessarily exist in the past) can only take us so far. They’re at their best when they’re hinting at us with stories of things that might happen in the future. That’s how I use them, and I’ve had a very colorful career. In addition to comprehensive experience covering many different categories of stocks (large-cap, small-cap, micro-cap, value, growth, income, special situations… you name it, I’ve got it covered), I also develop A lot of different quant funds and models working with them. In addition, I previously managed a high-yield fixed income (“junk bond”) fund and conducted research involving quantitative asset allocation strategies that were the basis of what is today known as “robo-advising.” I have edited or written several stock newsletters in the past, most notably the Forbes Penny Stock Report.
