Purchased PROSUS only needs to eat farkeaway.com in a 4 billion euro deal

Just Eat aut takeaway.com will be acquired by investment group Prosus for a deal of more than 400 million euros, which will lead to recommendations from European food delivery companies from the public market.

Prosus gets the value of an all-cash offer, with just €20.30, a premium premium over its three-month period.

The move marks a few years of turbulent years in Amsterdam’s group, whose shares soared during the 19th pandemic but fell sharply as the lockdown ended.

Just received the U.S. food ordering platform Grubhub, which EAT acquired for $7.3 billion in 2021 during the pandemic delivery boom, and then sold for $650 million last November.

The deal is only among its most important deals under its new CEO Fabricio Bloisi, who targets the investment group’s ambitious growth plans.

Bloisi said in a statement that the just trade was “an opportunity to create a European tech champion.”

Bloisi is the former head of Ifood, the company is a catering service app for his home country of Brazil.

He became CEO of South Africa’s Naspers Group, aiming to double the market value of its investment arm Prosus, the largest shareholder in Chinese internet giant Tencent.
