During a joint speech to Congress, President Donald Trump made a heartfelt gesture to make the United States move healthily again.
Trump appointed a 13-year-old Honors Secret Service agent and talked about RFK Jr.’s priorities in reversing childhood cancer.
Trump said Devarjaye “DJ” Daniel of Austin, Texas, had a rare form of brain cancer and dreamed of becoming a policeman.

The boy was welcomed by applause when Trump recognized his courage before the country.
“DJ was diagnosed with brain cancer. The doctor gave him up to five months. It was six years ago,” Trump said in his speech on Tuesday.

According to Fox 26 Houston, Daniel received a badge of honor nationwide, with more than 800 institutions recognizing the brave child.

“In fact, multiple times,” Trump added. “The police love him… Tonight, DJ, we’re going to bring you the greatest honor for everyone.”

“DJ’s doctors believe his cancer may have come from a chemical he was exposed to when he was young,” Trump said.

According to the National Cancer Institute, cancer is the leading cause of infancy death in the United States.
Diagnosis has increased in children struggling with cancer over the past 20 years.

According to the Congressional Children’s Cancer Group, the incidence rate rose from 11.5% of cases per 100,000 children in 1975 to 14.8% of cases per 100,000 children in 2004.
