Will low-pressure systems affect Naples, will Collier County bring local flooding?
The Miami office of the Weather Services said Sunday that the low-pressure zone will move in Florida. It says:
“The model trends have reached a certain consistency in the orbit of the system, keeping it mostly on the southernmost tip of the peninsula and on the keys.
“The solution favors lower rainfall and lower chances of thunderstorms in South Florida, as the overall instability seems to be kept on the key.”
The agency said the chances of thunderstorms and rains could increase:
“Given the cluttered nature of the lows, convection may push lower chances northward in our region, which will mean higher chances of thunderstorms and wider rainfall events.”
There are forecasts of 1 to 2 inches, and some areas may expect local flooding.
