The decisive table was first used by John F Kennedy in the Oval Office in 1961. After Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, Johnson took to the Oval Office and he chose the Johnson table.
After retirement, between 1966 and 1977, the Smithsonians showed decisive desks among the Smithsonians, when Jimmy Carter returned the decisive desk to the Oval Office.
Recently, between 2021 and 2025, former Democratic president and Obama between 2009 and 2017 used a determined desk. Trump also used the table during his first term between 2017 and 2021.
