Chiefs’ Drue tranquill tells critics to ‘kick rock’ amid complaints about AFC title win
Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Drue Tranquill had no time for the critics who anchored the team’s AFC title win or those who complained about the team’s third straight trip to the Super Bowl.
Tranquill had nine tackles as the Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills 32-29 on Sunday night, but when NFL fans complained about it, Tranquil responded.

“Shout out to @buffalobills,” he wrote. “The rest of the guys can take all the ‘ref’ Talk & Kick Rocks. We stay in business. “
He also had words for former NFL player Will Compton and Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.
Tranquill is a veteran defender who began his career with the Los Angeles Chargers. He joined the Chiefs before the start of the 2023 season and was part of Kansas City’s Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers last season.

Entering the 2024 season, he became the team’s starter. He played in 16 of the team’s 17 games. He had 94 tackles, two sacks, two pass breakups and two fumble recoveries. The Chiefs rank fourth in points allowed this season and ninth in yards allowed.
Kansas City has scored 30 points at least twice this season – against the Bills and the Denver Broncos. Both games came in the regular season, and both resulted in the team’s only two losses.
Additionally, Tranquill has 14 tackles in the Chiefs’ two games so far in the playoffs.
