Norwegian Cruise Company reveals new professional dining menu

For many Norwegian cruise passengers, addiction to the new dining experience is the highlight of the cruise.

Many cruisers have planned their vacation meals before sailing and are looking forward to discovering new flavors and ways to enhance their cruising experience with a range of free and professional dining options.

With the launch of the Norwegian Cruise Line’s latest ship, Norwegian Aqua, passengers booked in its first Cruises season are already looking for a new dining experience they will enjoy on board.

While browsing options can be used to cruise on Aqua in the Norwegian app, one passenger noticed that the cruise line released a menu for its brand new professional dining experience on board. The NCL community shares passenger screenshots of menus on Reddit so others can share their excitement.

Norwegian Aqua, Cruise Line’s first-ever specialty restaurant, Sukhothai, will allow passengers to try new traditional Thai dishes in an upscale and tempting atmosphere.

Passengers will be able to start their Thai dining experience with salt and pepper shrimp, chicken satellite skewers and Thai spring appetizers. Other appetizers include Bangkok-style Tom Kha Gai chicken and coconut soup; SOM TUM, classic Thai papaya vegetable; and Nam Tok Neua, which includes thinly sliced ​​charbroiled beef, green and red onions.

For main courses, Sukhothai will offer a variety of Thai curries along with Thai cashew chicken, almond beef and Pla Yum Mamuang, including fried red snapper dishes. House specialties will also be equipped with roast duck curry, Thai mats and vegetable rice.

For desserts, passengers will indulge in Norwegian spins on Thai candies such as mango, rice, Thai coconut and pandan pudding, lemon sorbet, and fried bananas with toasted coconut and vanilla ice cream.

“The menu looks great,” Reddit user Bulky_Knowledge_4248 wrote in a thread that shared the menu. “Hopefully, we will encounter other ships in the future!”

Sukhothai will also be featured as Norwegian Aqua’s sister ship Norwegian Luna (launched in April 2026). Whether it is added to any existing ships in Norway remains to be seen.

On board Norwegian Aqua, Sukhothai will join a lineup of fan-favorite Norwegian Cruise Line specialty dining restaurants including Nama Sushi and Sashimi, hibachi-style restaurant Hasuki, Mediterranean seafood restaurant Palomar, Cagney’s Steakhouse, high-end French restaurant Le Bistro, Mexican dining venue Los Lobos, and upscale Italian restaurant Onda by Scarpetta.

Norwegian Aqua will offer new plant-based restaurants, other novel experiences

Passengers sailing on Norway’s waters will also be able to enjoy plant-based bowls and other healthy options, Cruise Line’s first dedicated restaurant with a full plant-based menu. Growers will be one of the 10 food stations the ship is addicted to in the food hall, which is drawn from the international food market.

Norwegian Aqua will also debut a new modern wine lounge, Whirlpool Wine Bar, an intimate hidden bar that offers a comprehensive wine menu, and an extensive list of rare and premium wines.

As the first ship of the Norwegian Prima Plus class, Norwegian Aqua will offer passengers more new experiences, such as the Aqua Slidecoaster, a first-time hybrid roller coaster and water slide. The ship will also feature a new immersive digital sports complex, Glow Court, and the Aqua Game Zone, a reimagining of Norway’s Galaxy Pavilion and Arcade products.

The 20th ship enters the Norwegian cruise line fleet, Norwegian water will make its first voyage from the Canadian port of Florida on April 26. Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, the Virgin Islands of the United States; and Malaysian Rup Cay, the private island of the Bahamas cruise ship, which will feature a brand new marina by the end of 2025.
