Shedeur Sanders spoke to reporters on Friday at the NFL combine and did not lack confidence.
Sanders, 23, said he knew he could turn around the NFL franchise.
“We moved from Jackson State to Colorado and changed two shows back to back,” Sanders said.

“If you don’t want to change the franchise or culture, don’t let me go. So you should repeat history over and over again, I’ve been repeating myself over and over again, so there’s no doubt why the NFL franchise should choose me.”
One key to turning the franchise is strong leadership, which the Colorado quarterback says is his best feature.
“I would say being a leader is my best quality because everything is spiritual.
“That’s why when I interact with people here, I like to interact with people so that they can really understand me, not just knowing clicks or something like that.”
Sanders also stressed the importance of a strong psychological headspace in the field.

“This is the most important place for my game, and that’s very important. My game is not played from my legs, not even my arms.
Many experts say the first two quarterbacks of the class, Sanders and Miami, were not as good as last year’s class quarterbacks.
The 2024 quarterback class includes Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, Michael Penix Jr., JJ McCarthy and Bo Nix, with some of whom have all had success in their rookie seasons.
While Sanders may not have been selected in last year’s class, the Big 12 offensive player of the year questioned those who don’t think he was Ward’s highest quarterback in the 2025 draft course.

“When people say I’m not one of the quarterbacks or top quarterbacks, what are you all based on? Because I did it year after year, you see progress. Obviously, it has to be some kind of external hatred for your family because I know I’ve proved myself on the court.”
Together with Colorado last season, the Sanders had 4,314 yards and 37 touchdowns with 10 interceptions, helping to lead the Buffalo to a 9-4 record and a bowl game.

Sanders’ matches are an important reason for improving 4-8 to 9-4 in the first 4-8 seasons. Colorado was the year when the Sanders came 1-11.
The top of the draft has several quarterbacks tied teams with choices for Sanders or the ward. The Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns and the New York Giants were upset at quarterback and finished the top three in the draft.
Only time can tell the arrival of Sanders and whether he did indeed reverse the franchise.
