It was just over 50 years ago that The Beatles broke up. The Fab Four had released their final album in 1970’s Let It Be, which was accompanied by a documentary film of the same name. The footage of the band was captured during the album’s 1969 recording sessions, but much of it has remained unseen, until now.

Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson has been given unprecedented access to over 57 hours of the most intimate footage of The Beatles ever.

Fully restored, the filmmaker has expanded what was going to be a cinematic movie into a six-hour, three-part miniseries for Disney+ next month.

And today the latest trailer landed giving fans a new look at some never-before-seen footage of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr recording together.

At one point Paul is heard jokingly saying: “It’s going to be such a comical thing like in 50 years time that they broke up because Yoko sat on an amp.”
