Piers Morgan isn't taking Adil Ray's on-screen mockery lying down, that's for sure.
The former ITV star, 56, has accused the new host of causing Good Morning Britain rating to plummet after Adil had pocked fun of his exit on the breakfast programme on Wednesday.
At the time of the jibe and during episode, Adil had been chatting with MP Stella Creasy who had received an email requesting for her not to bring her baby into the Parliamentary chamber.
Having a joke with his co-star Susanna Reid, Adil remarked: "You've presented with some babies over the years, haven't you?"
He added: "Stormed out and had a bit of a tantrum?" which saw Susanna burst into fits of laughter.
Soon after Piers had got wind of Adil's wisecrack he decided to take to social media in his usual fashion to hit back.
His response on Twitter read: "Hmmm. Given how Mr Ray has helped destroy GMB's ratings since I left, if I were him I'd probably avoid mocking the guy who took them to record heights…"
Back in March, Piers turned his back on his anchorman role after he'd argued that he didn't believe Meghan Markle's account during her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
This led to a heated exchange with weatherman Alex Beresford about the Duchess of Sussex – with the pair not seeing eye-to-eye on the matter.
Piers stormed off set and later handed in his notice after he'd point blank refused to apologise for his comments – even though ITV had been flooded with Ofcom complaints.
Since then, the news broke to confirm that Piers would be launching a brand new programme on talkTV – despite rumours he was in talks with GB News.
Speaking about his appointment, he said in a statement: "I only want the very best working on my new show and after the five years we spent together on Good Morning Britain, I know [Gordon] Erron is the most talented TV director in the country.
"I'm absolutely delighted he will be joining us on this exciting new challenge."
