Piers Morgan brands Denise Welch vile as he reignites bitter feud

Piers Morgan has branded Denise Welch a "vile, spiteful hypocrite" following their long-running feud.

The bold TalkTV host slammed the Loose Women panellist and accused her of 'abusing' people on Twitter.

In his latest column for The Sun, Piers called out the star for advocating "be kind" and suggested Denise was a hypocrite.

Denise is a known supporter of mental health charity Mind and openly speaks about her experience with depression.

She previously took a jibe at Piers when mocking his viewing figures on Piers Morgan Uncensored last year.

The actress said on Twitter at the time: "Couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke.”

Piers, 58, made the remarks whilst speaking about what it's like to work in the industry in his column with The Sun.

Speaking about his time at ITV, he said on Wednesday ( May 24 ): "I met a lot of good, decent people when I worked in that environment, and took some of them with me when I joined TalkTV.

"But there are more than a few I would now cross continents to avoid, like GMB’s deputy stand-in weatherman Alex Beresford who begged me for media advice then tried – and failed – to make a name for himself taking me down on my last show with a pre-rehearsed attack speech."

He added: "Or the likes of Loose Women’s Denise Welch, a vile, spiteful hypocrite who makes a fortune from preaching about the need to ‘be kind’ but likes nothing better than spewing hateful foul-mouthed abuse at people on Twitter."

Piers is known for his controversial words and left ITV after a heated debate about Meghan Markle.

He famously stormed off the GMB set and refused to retract his thoughts about the Duchess of Sussex after thousands of viewers complained.

ITV issued a statement at the time and said: "Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add."
