Noel Fielding is best known right now for being the charming but out-there GBBO host who wears some rather unusual shirts.
But he’s been on the showbiz and comedy scene for longer than you may realise.
Neil is actually 47, believe or not, but looks at least a decade or two younger.
The long-locked funnyman shot to fame in the 2000s alongside Julian Barratt in the Mighty Boosh.
The highly surreal sitcom, set in an alternative universe zoo and featuring a host of mental characters including Naboo the shaman and Bollo the bear, had a cult following and Noel became an “emo heartthrob” with his super skinny jeans and long hair.
Since then Noel is a regular on the quiz show circuit and most recently, a host of GBBO with Matt Lucas.
Fans of the baking show may not know his previous work so whenever it emerges he is pushing 50, they are shocked.
Noel has been in a relationship with radio DJ Lliana Bird, known professionally as Birdy, for 11 years and the pair have two children, Dali, three, and Iggy, one.
However, before that, when Noel was 33 it was rumoured he was dating Pixie Geldof when she was just 16.
Though Noel denied they were romantically involved and insisted they were “just friends” it was reported in 2007 that Pixie, whose dad is Boomtown Rats legend Sir Bob Geldof, was spotted “canoodling” him.
Speaking at the Galaxy British Book Awards, Noel said: "It’s just these things are… like fairytales aren’t they?
"We’re just friends that’s all, but you can’t be friends in this country without someone booking a church and trying to get you married."
Speculation resurfaced in 2012 after they were reportedly seen kissing in a nightclub and Noel’s girlfriend at the time was furious and at “the end of her tether”.
But Noel is now a settled home bird. His first daughter is called Dali after Salvadore Dali and at the time a source told the Sun: "Salvador has played a big part in his life, so it’s no surprise to his friends he’s named a baby after him.
"It’s a cute name and really suits the tot."
When Lliana, 40, announced the arrival of their second little girl she posted an Instagram snap of four spiders made from mic covers and pipe cleaners.
"The Bird Fielding family of 4 (finally figured out what to do with all my old mic covers!) #halloweencrafts," she wrote.
