Covers like this shouldn't be so "Rare!"

On Wednesday, The Kelly Clarkson Show shared a video of Kelly Clarkson covering Selena Gomez's "Rare" for its Kellyoke segment — and the "Lose You to Love Me" singer loved it.

Wearing a dark purple gown, Clarkson belted the track's post-breakup lyrics for a soulful, yet upbeat rendition of the title track of Gomez's 2020 album.

"I'll bet there's somebody else out there / To tell me I'm rare / To make me feel rare," Clarkson sang. "I'm not gonna beg for you / I'm not gonna let you make me cry. / Not getting enough from you. / Didn't you know I'm hard to find?"

Reposting the performance on Twitter, Gomez shared her appreciation for Clarkson and the performance.

"Love this and ♥️ you @kellyclarkson!" she wrote.

"QUEEN SUPPORTING ANOTHER QUEEN WE LOVE IT," tweeted one fan.

"Such a great cover! Loved it! ♥ Your support towards Selena is beyond words," added another fan. "Thank you for making the world so nice."

This isn't the first time The Voice coach covers a song by Gomez. Last November, she performed "Come and Get It" from the singer's Stars Dance album back in 2013.

The fitting lyrics comes just over two months after Clarkson was awarded primary custody of her children with estranged husband Brandon Blackstock — River Rose, 6, and Remington Alexander, 4 — amid their divorce proceedings.

"It's horrible. There are so many hard parts. The hardest for me is the kids," she said while talking to author Glennon Doyle on her show last month, adding that she realized, "This isn't happiness, and we both deserve better."
