Jessica Simpson does stretches in skintight jeans after seven stone weight loss

Having risen to fame as a singer and actress, Jessica Simpson is now making her mark on the fashion industry, with the launch of her namesake label.

Proving her jeans from the Jessica Simpson Collection are just as flexible as a pair of leggings, the 40-year-old took to her yoga mat for her "morning stretches".

Waving her legs over her head as she worked out, the mum-of-three showcased her 100-pound weight loss in the slim-fitting denim.

With names like "Love Lane" and "Axel," the US starlet has designed a range of denim wear for every body shape, marketing the garments online.

Jessica paired the trousers with a snug pair of knitted boots, lined with shearling and decorated with a multicoloured weave.

With her blonde locks tucked behind her ears and a long-sleeved black tee completing the look, Jessica proved gym gear isn’t essential for an impromptu workout session.

In her caption, she wrote: "Morning stretches in my @jessicasimpsonstyle jeans."

The comment section below was packed with compliments from her 5.6million followers, as they praised her svelte physique in the form-fitting denim.

One said: "You are looking very beautiful."

"Such a snack," wrote a second.

And a third chimed: "My favorite jeans ever!"

After welcoming her daughter Birdie in March of last year, the Dukes of Hazzard star embarked on a fitness journey in an effort to shift the baby weight.

Regular yoga sessions make up a huge part of her routine, with the busy mum practicing her stretches by the poolside of her Beverly Hills home.

On top of the exercise, Jessica ensured her diet was as nutritious and mindful as possible, eating large quantities of vegetables.

Speaking on HSN Live about her approach back in September, she said: "I don't like the word 'diet.' I just ate a bag of Cheetos in the back.

"I do think that writing down what we eat is important to keep yourself in check."

The Texan beauty, who released her bestselling autobiography Open Book earlier this year, also revealed she upped her intake of cauliflower as a substitute for carbs.
