Christine McGuinness has confessed that she still hasn't watched on the programmes that led to her husband Paddy's huge fame despite being married for 10 years.

The 33-year-old beauty queen admitted that when first meeting the Phoenix Nights star she had no idea about his TV success.

At the time, Christine had been so busy carving out her own modelling career in 2007 that there just wasn't any free time available for her to relax and watch TV.

In her new book, Christine McGuinness: A Beautiful Nightmare, the reality star explained their first encounter was at a Liverpool tennis tournament with the blonde bombshell appearing in the fashion show.

The mum-of-three wrote: "Patrick was just a stand-up comedian and to be honest, even if he did have a thriving TV career, I wouldn’t have known who he was – I was too busy earning to sit down in front of the telly.

"To this day, I've still not watched Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights or Max And Paddy's Road To Nowhere."

The comedian has been married to Christine since 2011, and they share twins Penelope and Leo, eight, and daughter Felicity, five.

Paddy first landed on screens over two decades ago after he'd teamed up with pal Peter Kay.

He made his first appearance on That Peter Kay Thing in 2000 before joining Kay's upcoming comedy series.

The British sitcom Phoenix Nights became an award-winning hit propelling both chums to fame in the Bolton working men's club comedy.

Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere Channel 4 spin-off programme also proved to be a hit in 2004.

Since then Paddy has very much became a household name in his own right after he landed the hosting gig on ITV's hugely popular dating series Take Me Out.

In more recent times, it was revealed that Paddy had landed a presenting role on Top Gear alongside Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris after Matt LeBlank stepped down.
