4 Noteworthy Roddy Ricch Songs That Aren't 'The Box'

Roddy Ricch may be one of the most popular artists of the moment due to his Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single, “The Box.” However, “The Box” isn’t the notable song that Ricch has released so far.

‘Ballin’

No doubt, “Ballin” was the most popular Roddy Ricch song before “The Box.” It may be hard to believe that he is the featured artist on the song, as he is the solo vocalist for Mustard’s hit single. ‘Ballin’ is nominated for Best Rap/Sung Performance at this weekend’s Grammys.

On working with Mustard, Ricch said, “I’ll be working until, like, 10 or 11. He’ll be like, ‘I’ve got to go. I’ve got the kids, man.mSo I’ll stay and work until, like, two or three, then I’ll hit him with all these songs in the morning. He’s like, ‘What the f**k? N***a, you made all this s**t?!’”

‘Peta’

Peta is a track from Ricch’s debut album, Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial, which was released recently. Featuring rapper Meek Mill, the song reached No. 72 on the Billboard Hot 100.

‘High Fashion’

“High Fashion” is another collaboration between Ricch and Mustard. The song, also taken from Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial, charted on the Billboard Hot 100 at well, reaching No. 27.

‘Racks in the Middle’

“Racks in the Middle” is a super notable song for Ricch as it stands as the final single released by the late rapper Nipsey Hussle.

Speaking about his relationships with both Hussle and Mill, Ricch said, “I feel like it was just mutual respect, and really just letting it happen naturally. With both of them, it never was something that was forced. While Meek was on vacation and Nipsey was working on Victory Lap, I got the chance to really just feel both of their auras at the same time. We related to each other. We came from the same places. We related before we tried to make it a public friendship or some s**t like that. I really f**k with those guys.”

The song is nominated for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song at the Grammys this weekend.
