“We were basically observing our friends and family and seeing that they all really needed some light, that it was so dark and oppressive, and basically we were all just carrying layers of fear to our every day,” Bolton said, reflecting on the coronavirus Pandemic.

“So we started to feel a sense of responsibility to deliver hope and promise and all these feelings that seemed elusive, and it started to become a feel-good record.”

After finding success in the music industry, Bolton explained that he found his greatest joy in family life.

“I am filled with even more love and pride for my daughters as they start their own families,” Bolton said. “The people I love bring me so much joy…The important things never really change . There is nothing greater than love.

Bolton noted that he took himself “too seriously” at the beginning of his career. But now, things are different.

“When you let go, the fun starts to happen… I feel like I haven’t slowed down yet,” Bolton said.

According to People magazine, the singer has canceled a series of upcoming concerts in October due to health reasons. Bolton said he is “not fully recovered” and is still on the “road to recovery.”

“It’s been challenging and often frustrating because I just want to perform for everyone, but I need more time to regain my full strength and endurance,” he wrote on Facebook. “I’m making great progress. Well, I’ve been able to get some work done on a couple of exciting projects that you’ll be hearing about soon.”
