Miami teammates fight on sideline at Pop-Tarts Bowl game

From what we’ve seen on social media, the Pop-Tarts Bowl is filled with hilarious content.

But during Saturday’s game, there appeared to be an incident between the two Miami Hurricanes that resulted in a beating.

The Hurricanes didn’t want to play Saturday’s game. They controlled their destiny in the College Football Playoff, but after losing to Syracuse in the final week of the season, they were eliminated from the ACC Championship Game and ultimately out of the tournament.

The fracas came after a high-scoring first quarter in which the Hurricanes held Iowa State to 21 points. The Cyclones won the game 42-41.

Cam Ward may have been a first-round pick in the NFL draft, but he only played in the first half, exiting the game after Miami regained the lead 31-28 before halftime.

Longtime sports anchor and broadcaster Greg Gambell dies at 78

After the game, the Pop-Tarts mascot was “baked” and the Cyclones received a toaster trophy.

This is the first time the Cyclones have won 11 games in a season.

Game MVP Rocco Becht scored on fourth down from one yard out and scored a touchdown with 56 seconds left.

Becht passed for 270 yards and three touchdowns for Iowa State (11-2), a program entering this season that had never won more than nine games in a season.
