Williams and other Dodgers are far from enough. In an interview with Bishop Robert Barron, he agreed that Catholics should speak out when the Catholic Church is under direct attack, because about two years ago.

“It’s become ridiculous. If this continues to happen, what are we doing?” Williams said in a conversation released Thursday. “Basketball courts should be where everyone is welcome, like 100%. We should all be welcome there. But it’s obviously in some religion. Who would do it if you don’t draw lines on the beach?”

The 32-year-old San Diego man recalled the situation and was asked if he wanted to say something.

Williams said he wanted to say it for a long time.

“Through the whole discernment process – how do I say, how do I charitable, what should I call it? I made a statement because we know it’s the goal on our back,” he told the Bishop. “But that’s what they’re doing, and it’s very wrong.”

Williams criticized the Dodgers for hosting the organization and said in a statement: “The value of respect and inclusion that any organization should maintain.”

Brewers’ boss asks shocking questions about his work

He said these reactions were “overwhelmingly positive.”

“I really felt the power of prayer in other people a few times in my life. I was able to keep my balance. My dedication to the Sacred Heart is more religious because I have to pray for thousands and thousands and do so.

“We found out that we were pregnant during this period. We named our daughter Monica Margaret because we received grace from the Sacred Heart.”

Williams said a few weeks later he felt “mentally exhausted” from receiving questions about his ordeal. He said he was in Houston as the Nationals were finishing a series of games with the Astros and was able to return to Washington early as he was preparing to pitch the next day.

He said he arrived at the airport early, praying for rosary while sitting in the food court, looking for some kind of grace, and knowing that he did the right thing. He said he looked around and found no sign on him.

Williams said he stood up and sat alone at a different gate from the airport crowd.

He said, “The little nun next to me was walking next to me. She was sitting next to me. I was like you were kidding me?” I went to find her, I traveled with me and my little altar kit, so I have this prayer card for Sister William…so, I stand up and I think, I think, ‘Thank you for witnessing the church.

Williams revealed that the nun would not speak any English but was happy to accept his prayer card.
